Highland Associates has had the opportunity to execute a variety of laboratory, office, industrial and research and development projects including new construction, renovations and additions as well as special occupancy spaces.  We bring an enhanced knowledge and understanding of current trends for laboratory, office, administration, and training/support spaces for Life Sciences, Commercial, Industrial, Higher Education, Manufacturing and Healthcare clients.  We pride ourselves on being a partner in the process to the very end and we place emphasis on clearly reviewing and defining, with all stakeholders, the requirements for the finished space desired.  

Our lab design experience has included those for analytical / testing, bio-science, chemistry and physics utilizing cGMP and ISO standards.  Additionally, we have designed many laboratory spaces that require a controlled level of contamination. We understand the design complexities associated with spaces requiring a low level of environmental pollutants such as dust, airborne microbes, aerosol particles, and chemical vapors. Our team will work with the client to determine the level of control and classification necessary and discuss, in detail, the scope of work as it relates to airborne particulates, temperature, humidity, air pressure, airflow patterns, air motion, vibration, noise, viable (living) organisms, and lighting.
