Highland Associates, in collaboration with KKO and Associates LLC and local consultants, worked with The Quandel Group, Inc., Program Manager, and Schuylkill County to provide planning and full architectural and engineering services to the town of Pottsville for a new, mixed-use intermodal facility.

The project entailed the planning and design of a mixed-use intermodal facility that provides inter- and outer-city bus service, excursion rail service, parking for 800 cars, park and ride parking lots, highway improvements to enhance access to the site, and beautification of the surrounding streets. The structure’s lower level was designed to accommodate commercial space for transit operations, a visitor’s center, community activity space and retail. Upper level space were designed for office use.
